Kawazu Shuzo Co., Ltd. (河津酒造株式会社)

Kawazu Shuzo is a sake and shochu brewery in Aso district, Kumamoto, Japan, founded in 1932 when its first owner took over an existing sake brewery in Ogu town. It produces sake, shochu and additive-free soap made with sake-lees-derived rice flour, and uses local spring water and Kumamoto yeast. The company describes its aim as hand-crafted, high-quality sake that carries forward Japanese brewing tradition.
