Who we are
Distillers Hub (distillershub.com, app.distillershub.com and the member mail domain distillershub.com) is operated from India by the Distillers Hub team ("we", "us"). We are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
Company directory data: company names, locations, products, owning group and websites compiled from public sources, each with its source. We do not publish personal email addresses or phone numbers. Where a business is registered or licensed in the name of an individual (for example a sole-proprietor distillery), we do not publish that listing unless the owner adds or claims it.
Data you give us: your name, role, company, business email, optional phone number, profile and company-page content, marketplace posts, messages, files you attach, and documents you upload as proof of authorisation.
Technical data: a sign-in cookie, IP address and basic logs needed to run and secure the service. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies and does not identify you; it records the page, referring site, country, browser and device type in aggregate.
Signing in with Google or LinkedIn
If you choose to sign in with Google or LinkedIn, that service sends us your name, email address and profile picture so we can create or open your account. We do not receive your password, and we cannot post or act on your Google or LinkedIn account.
Why we use it
To run the directory, member accounts, verification, messaging, company mailboxes and the marketplace; to send you the emails you ask for (sign-in links, confirmations, notifications); to prevent spam, fraud and abuse; and to meet legal obligations.
Messages and posts are screened automatically for spam and scams before delivery. Introductions to suppliers are made only for requests you send us.
Legal basis
We process your personal data with your consent, which you give when you create an account, submit a form or send a request, and where the law permits it without consent (for example to comply with a legal obligation). Directory listings describe businesses; a listing that identifies an individual is published only with that person's consent, when they add or claim it. You can withdraw consent or ask us to remove a listing at any time; this does not affect processing already carried out.
Who we share it with
Other members see only what you choose to show: your name, role, company and the content you post. Your email and phone stay private.
Service providers who process data for us: Cloudflare (hosting, email routing and sending), Hostinger (mailbox for info@), Oracle Cloud (server, India region) and Google (AI processing for spam screening, summaries and matching). They act on our instructions.
We disclose data to authorities only where Indian law requires it. We do not sell personal data.
Where data is stored and for how long
Data is stored on servers in India and with the providers above, some of which may process it outside India as permitted by law.
We keep account data while your account is active and for up to 12 months after you close it; proof-of-authorisation documents for up to 6 months after the request is decided; server and access logs for one year, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 require.
Email alerts
If you set up email alerts, we use your email address, the topics and countries you choose and the time of the last alert to send them, daily or weekly as you choose. Each alert says why you are receiving it and has a link to change or stop alerts; stopping takes effect at once. We keep your alert settings while your account is open and delete them when you stop alerts or close your account.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct, update or erase your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to nominate another person to exercise your rights. Companies can correct or remove their directory listing at distillershub.com/remove/.
Write to the Grievance Officer at [email protected]. We acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve within 15 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Data protection contact
For any question about your personal data or this policy, contact our Grievance Officer at [email protected].
Children
The service is for businesses in the alcohol trade and for adults of legal drinking age. We do not knowingly collect data of children.
Security
We use encryption in transit, restricted server access and separate storage of credentials. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at once if you suspect misuse of your account.
