Saburomaru Distillery, operated by Wakatsuru Shuzo in Tonami, Toyama Prefecture, Japan, produces single malt and other whiskies with a focus on smoky character. The company began sake brewing in 1862 and started whisky production in 1952, reopening as the Saburomaru Distillery in 2017. Its range includes single malt whiskies, a whisky-based liqueur, and bottlings made in collaboration with other brands.
