The market
Spirits imports were about US$695m and exports about US$394m in 2024 (UN Comtrade); exports go mainly to France. Per-person consumption (WHO about 11.5 litres) is among the higher figures in this batch of countries. No brand ranking was found.
Making spirits
EU rules require vodka to be at least 37.5% ABV and made from grain or potatoes, otherwise the raw material must be stated (Wikipedia). Clear vodka was a state monopoly from 1925; distilleries were nationalised after WWII and many privatised after 1989.
Importing
Poland is in the EU, so the EU common external tariff and national excise apply (rates not verified here). A small-bottle excise surcharge (bottles under 30 cl, PLN 25 per litre of alcohol) started in 2021, hitting miniatures. Promotion of spirits is legally restricted to the on-premise channel (2021 report).

About Poland

Poland is located in Central Europe, bordering the Baltic Sea. Polish is the official and predominant language spoken across the country. The nation's diverse economy is well known for strong manufacturing industries, agriculture, food processing, and technological services.

The spirits market

Alcohol is legal for adults aged 18, sold via licensed private retailers and venues without a state monopoly, subject to nighttime off-premise restrictions. EU-registered businesses with an EORI and excise permits can import spirits at 0% customs duty, subject to PLN 7,991 per hectolitre pure alcohol excise and 23% VAT. Domestic production focuses heavily on vodka, liqueurs, gin, and nalewki. Consumer demand for Scotch and Irish whiskies, bourbon, and aged rum provides opportunities for exporters partnering with licensed importers.
