Destilaria Phoenix Medronho is a small family-run distillery in the Algarve hinterland of Portugal. It produces a limited batch of about 300 litres of medronho, a traditional aguardente made from wild strawberry-tree fruit, with each bottle filled and numbered by hand. The fruit is harvested by hand from the company's own land.
